Okay haven't been here for gazillion years.

Anyway guys, as we all know the 40 day prayer and fasting season has started across Speedlight. Even though our humanly flesh might vehemently object to it (It is now.. I'm hungry), I believe it'll be good to do this as a cell as Nick suggested through sms. :)

video recently about fasting and it is pretty insightful about the world of fasting, so you might wanna check it out. It's only about 35minutes don't worry, and the speaker is so concise; 10 x more concise than my Biology lecture notes.
For the jc people, know you'll be damn lazy to click cos of stupid exams but get over your inertia and watch it :) it's a refreshing 30minutes I promise, I watched after my Econs/GP paper.
JIAYOU EVERYONE. Be it with school or fasting and any other concerns. It'll be 40 glorious days of God's power, amen.

8 BENEFITS OF FASTING
- Fasting helps secure favour in situations (Prov. 21:1)
- helps us discern God’s will (Acts 13:2)
- humbles your soul (Ps. 35:13)
- can help us gain protection (2 Chr 20:2-3, 14-17)
- gives us power in the spiritual realm (Matthew 17:21, Isa 58:6)
- Fasting can bring healing (Isa 58:8)
- prepares us for new ministry (examples:Moses, Christ, Paul)
- Fasting gives us a greater awareness of God’s presence (Isa 58:8-9)
